At the age of 15 she bought her first own DJ setup, lots of vinyls and started mixing the harder styles of housemusic as DJ Marlice. After a few months Marlies was asked by some promoters to play every wednesday in a small club in Utrecht as a resident and almost every week at another club in Holland. Before she became 16, she’d played already 2 times at the Hemkade 48 in Zaandam, for 1000 till 4000 people. Legally, she was not even able to visit the club at this age. One of the Dutch highlights is her gig at the Dutch 'Ground Zero Festival 2008' with over 25.000 people. She got international gigs at The Streetparade in Zürich - Switzerland, Spain, Crete, France, Belgium, Germany, Bali and in 2010 she toured 6 weeks in Australia. Marlies also plays some booming club, house and eclectic music under the name Marlicious. (party’s like Ex Porn Star, Fantasy Island, Crazyland, Happy Dayzz, and more). Nowadays she also studies for Studio technical expert/producer at the Mediapark in Hilversum. So….beware of this young lady. We’ll keep u posted! 1: What is your greatest achievement as a deejay? Ground Zero Festival and my gigs in Australia 2: How did you come up with your deejayname? It is my real name, I just changed some letters. 3: Do you have a special message to all people who read this? Don't take everything in life too seriously. We all have our responsibilities but ENJOY! You are organizing your own party, so make it the best ? 4: What is your favourite headphone brand? I really like the Pioneer HDJ 2000, but my Technics DJ1210 survived all the parties till now, so I think that is a really good sign haha 5: What do you like to drink during and after your deejayset? Vodka with sparkling water (spa) and lime or water (I mostly drive myself). RHOSE Roos was born 1987 in Volemdam. Her brother Sunny D played since years in the scene of harder styles and tought her the basics when she was 15. Her first gigs were for promoter Multigroove who booked her for their events at the Hemkade (nowadays Northsea Venue) in Zaandam. Ze performed during Hellbound, Pandemonium, Buzz Fuzz goes BZRK, CSR, E-fect Outdoor, 2H4U, Paradox and Lady's Night and many other in The Netherlands. She had international gigs in England, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. She plays mainly mainstream hardcore and more raw hardcore. Her favourite labels are DNA, Industrial Strength and Traxtorm Records. 1: What is your greatest achievement as a deejay? achievement as a Dj is a back 2 back set with my brother (Sunny D) at E-fect Outdoor. It was my first time at a big party and it was great! 2: How did you come up with your deejayname? When I first begun deejay-ing I had no idea what kind of name would suite me. But when I had a conversation with someone from the organization Multigroove they gave me the name DJ Rhose. Simple and short but powerful. 3: Do you have a special message to all people who read this? Keep on Party-ing, that will keep you young ;) 4: What is your favourite headphone brand? I like Technics and Pioneer. It's comfortable and good looking. It has a good sound and the price is not extremely high so you get quality for a nice price. At the moment I own a Technics and I'm happy with my headphone. 5: What do you like to drink during and after your deejayset? What I like to drink? Too much.. I guess haha. Mostly I drink Bacardi. Lemon or Razz are one of my favorites. If there's no driver then I stick with Red bull or something else.
